Trivia: Users online, spam count, where in the world


Here are a few fun bits of interest about ect.org. Akismet is about the best thing online since Al Gore invented the Internets. Without it, I'd be about six feet under, buried in spam.  And even with it, the occasional spam post makes it through, but mostly it doesn't. Thank you Akismet.

Note: The number of guests online clears every 60 seconds.
The bots number is misleading because Yahoo seems to send a bot with a different IP address for each page it's crawling, and it crawls day and night for some reason.

Where in the World?

This is a nifty little doodad that maps out where ect.org visitors from the last 24 hours came from. Even though I have stats that tell me which countries, I never look at them. But this is fun. It seems a bit wonky at times, maybe because I'm behind a firewall, but reload their page and it seems to give a more up-to-date view. Don't know why.
