offensive to some.

That’s a real shame. I was going to delete the above post, but decided to leave it as an example of the kind of “love mail” I get from those who don’t tolerate any criticism of ECT. (To be clear, most mail is NOT of this variety, but I do get emails like these on a regular basis, along with death threats.) I’ll move it to a separate page to spare others the lovely word. Such class!
Toby followed up with a similar message to the voice mail number posted on this site. Oddly, it came from Herb Stern’s area code. What an odd coincidence.
What’s saddest of all is that this wasn’t posted directly from ect.org; it was posted from another website (not sight, Toby) by a sad excuse for a man who cyber stalks me, and a number of other women. He apparently stole the code from this page, and forgot to remove the code for the comment box. Now I’m going to have to ban anyone from coming directly from that site to prevent other comments from his weird tributes. That’s sad.
Herb Stern, my continued response to you is the same as it’s been for over five years: you don’t exist to me. No matter how much sunshine you try to blow up my ass, or your silly diatribes, you’re banned from the boards for life. Put on your Yasser dress and keep on whining, but deep down, you surely know the truth. I couldn’t care less about your views on ECT or anything else. You were banned because you were deliberately CRUEL to people, and when I tried to discuss your behavior, instead of behaving like an adult, you turned into a whiny toddler and started playing games, refusing to even hold a discussion about your bad boy games. It’s the same reason you’ve been banned from so many other boards.
How is it that the world is full of so many people (all women it seems, imagine that!) who have done you wrong? Maybe, just maybe, it’s because you call people who don’t want to be called, you email and harass people who want to be left alone? You’re deliberately cruel to people who are on the verge of suicide, because that’s how you get your kicks? You’re a very creepy man, and it has nothing to do with the fact that you don’t want any criticism of ECT or VNS or Cyberonics. It has to do with your behavior, which you know.
But it’s so much more fun to be the victim, isn’t it?
As I’ve explained to you before, you are banned from the boards. Oh, I know that you’ll fake a name and IP and find your way in again. How many times have you done it already? Too many to count. And remember the time you did two sock puppets, Dr. Wendy and the little electroshock girl who was 12? They chatted back and forth for quite some time. I still wonder what poor child had her school picture snagged by you and put in the fake profile. There’s just something really icky about that, but you know all of this because I’ve said it to you before.
It’s interesting that you never publicly mention any of these things I’ve said to you. Maybe because they’re….TRUE? And you don’t want your little friends to know the real you?
I can’t imagine a grown man wasting so many hours of his day trying to break into boards where he’s banned, faking personas, finding pictures on the Internet to add to fake profiles, emailing women who want to be left alone, using your private detective to get unlisted numbers and generally behaving like a four-year-old. What a pitiful existence that must be.
You’re still banned, you’ll always be banned, but keep on wasting your days trying to get in. It keeps you off the streets I suppose. In over a decade of running this site and the ZapRap boards, you have the honor of being the only person I’ve ever kicked off. I’m not even banning your pal Toby, only you, Mr. Stern.
Heck, there’s a psychiatrist who lost his practice and license due to breaking up a marriage and having sex with a depressed patient, who is now being sued because he violated the terms of his deal and illegally prescribed psych meds on a mail-order drug site and a depressed teenager committed suicide with the pills he prescribed. (whew!) I’ve documented that whole tabloid drama, and have had all kinds of fun emails from the whole family, nasty ones. None of them are banned. Why is that? Give it some thought.
Any comments or posts that I know are you will be removed. I don’t care what the content is…it’s just you.
Two points I’d like to respond to while I have your attention: I’ve never advocated banning ECT. That’s just what you wanted me to represent - because you like painting people as extremists when they’re not - and when you read the position statement (what was that, twenty times within ten minutes? Oh wait, that was when you were copying the source code), it’s very black and white that I don’t advocate banning ECT. It’s always been all over my websites that I’m not trying to ban ECT. For over a decade. But that didn’t suit your agenda, did it? BTW, Linda Andre also does not advocate a ban. Please don’t cry.
Second, my “entourage.” That’s just pathetic. I don’t have an entourage any more than you do. At least I don’t have any of the people from my message board go from board to board creating fake names, posting form letters and faking their way into places you aren’t wanted. I know this is really a trite thing to say, but really, you need to get a life. Good god, it’s just tragic. When people dream of retirement, I don’t think how you spend your days is what most aspire to - what happened to golf, little drinks with umbrellas and sunny beaches?
Now run along back to your little board and cry to your members on what a c&&& I am…but always warmly of course. (As warm as my steaming pile of composting horse manure, I’m sure!)
I’ve done what you’ve wanted for so long: I’ve acknowledged your existence. Enjoy! Break out the champagne. Now you’re back on ignore, Mr. Stern. You can go back to playing your Internet games.

p.s. Herb, did you know that you’re listed on a number of spam lists??? It seems that you go around to guest books and other boards and sites just to add your link. Most webmasters consider that spam and now you’re turning up on spam lists (which means you’ll start being banned automatically at places). Better be careful or even Google will ban you. Gosh, everyone is SO MEAN TO YOU! Waaaaaaaah!
If you are talking about Herb Stein, he ought to be banned from every message board but his own. On his own site, he posts messages to him, that he has personaly wrote to himself,but put someone elses name on it, then he will answer himself. He is one more sick individual. If I hear from him again he is going to have more legal problems than he can handle in the lifetime he has left.

This kind of thing is such a waste of time and really does not enhance your credibility. I don’t know if you’re someone who dislikes me and used this other situation as a launching pad to post your silliness, or if you’re genuinely a friend of the other person and trying to help. It’s obvious that you posted using the form on the other site and not directly from this one. If your motive is the latter, then please realize you’re only harming the other person, making him look bad.
I’d like to suggest finding another outlet for your aggression, but that’s up to you. If you find the need to continue to post racial slurs and so on, maybe it serves a need. The good news is that very few people are finding their way to this page, other than those being directed here by the other guy. The many visitors to this site are here for ECT info, not drama queens.
I hope the high drama can help some find a diversion from their depression. As for me, I’m done with this. I need to get back to my life. Ciao.
Since recieving the VNS my world has come alive again. I have never said I was opposed to ECT’s. At the time I got them there was nothing else available. But just like medication, I quit responding to the ECT’s. I have also lost over 30 years of memory and my cognitive skills have been damaged. My doctor apoligized to me for giving me so many and the ECT’s doing so much damage. I told him he had nothing to be sorry for. That was all that was available at the time. He was fighting for me to live, I was fighting just as hard to die. He is the only psychiatrist lincesed to give ECT’s in our city. He no longer does them.
I’ve stated my experience with ECT. Your experience might be a lot different. My experience is my experience! I don’t need anybody posting on their website about me and I don’t want to hear anything else about my views of ECT. I’m not responding to anything else about ECT’s.
I’m not using a name for apparent reasons but Herb is sick in the head. I know a few people that he forces himself on and follows around on the Net.Herb these ppl want noting to do with you. Why can’t you just accept that and move on? Leave them alone if that’s what they want.
I’m from Herb’s vns board and I’m troubled by this stuff. It is distracting from trying to get help for TRD and epilepsy and learn more about our options. Juli I hope you won’t delete this post and will let me have my say. I was interested to know about this doctor he claimed to be. That’s contrary to everything Herb preaches and says he stands for. I’ve liked that very much about Herb that he states he never gives advice. My search skills are pretty awesome if I do say so myself and I was able to track down these Dr. Wendy posts. Juli PLEASE don’t delete these. I think members should know that Herb DOES give advice only using a doctor profile and he’s not a doctor but plays one on the net. This is SO fake.

Hello electro-girl. You are right. I see more and more preteen patients opting to undergo ECT rather than poisn their bodies with drugs. I don’t give ECT- im a cardiologist, but I understand that ECT has gotten to the point where having it is no more dangerous than getting a tooth pulled at the dentist. I received ECT 3 years ago and it has rescued my life. I cant speek for every one. You are a brave and beutyful little girl, (and cute too!

Jennifer. You never realy told us why you are getting ect. You seem to know an aweful lot about it. You throw big medical terms around like your a doctor or something. How did you come to know all this? So tell me if its realy helping you. You told us that you have “some” memory loss. How are you handling this? Jennifer, your brain is still developing. I just think there has to be another way of getting you better. Even for grownups, ect is is an extreame soulition. You also told us that you “resuming” therapy. How many treatments are you getting? And, as a dr, did your mom get a second opinion? Sweety, I’m sorry to hear about your dad. Thats alot of baggage to be dealing with. But Jenn, alot of other people lost their loved ones on 9/11 too. And making some friends woulden’t hurt either. OK?

The constant barrage of attempts to gain entry into my site have been, false email, false ID, using someone elses password and gaining the confidence of members to extract private information.
He see nothing wrong with his actions as long as they suit HIS need. I have no less than 4 gigs of slanderous and libelous TEXT of garbage this man has put in print about me, my staff or my message board.
Since he freely admits to being banned from several other sites, I am sure those site owners are dealing with his twisted and sick behavior as well.
This man has gotten the unlisted phone numbers of some of my members and called them. He begs members from other sites to “enlighten” either Juli or me by posting his opinions.
He just doen’t understand what GO AWAY! means. Maybe some of his friends will be kind enough to explain it to him!
