This website is wholly maintained by ect.org and its founder, Juli Lawrence. This site collects no personal information about individuals except when provided by individuals (as in emails sent to the site and/or me, or when registering on the bulletin board). No information will be transferred at any time to a third party without the individual's consent. The exception to this is abusive and/or harassing email. Those I may publish on the site without notice.

This web site does use cookies on a few areas - the bulletin board and virtual vote sections. These are used to make posting on the boards easier, and to keep persons from voting more than once in a prescribed period of time.

Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., user name, e-mail address) on the bulletin boards or in the chat areas, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or parties.

At times, media inquiries are made asking for persons in narrowly-defined categories who might be willing to speak to journalists. I may go through previous emails sent to me and write to individuals who fit the requirements, but at no time will I forward emails or identifying information without the person's consent.

At no time do I sell or lease email lists to anyone. Every communication is kept confidential, with the exception of the bulletin boards and harassing/abusive emails. Those are available for public reading.
