All of these files use the Real Player technology. If you've downloaded the Real Player, you should be able to click on the files, and the Real Player will launch, playing the files.

However, the Windows Media Player is the standard player included with many computer setups, so you may not have the Real Player installed. The Windows player *may* work, but if it does, you're probably not reading this file.

If you're using Windows Media Player and it doesn't work, Real Player must be installed on your computer. Finding the FREE link can sometimes be tricky, Real gives higher presence to their $29.95 player. Carefully scan the page for the word free, and you'll find it.

Follow the installation instructions included with the setup.

In some areas, I've made two sets of clips:

Fast Connection - Recommended for users with DSL, Cable Modem or Corporate LAN connections. Viewing at this speed will usually provide fairly good quality results, depending on the quality of the original recording.

Modem Connection - Recommended for users with 56k or slower modem access. Quality at this speed may be poor and the viewing size on the screen is small. In many cases, the audio works fine but the video will only refresh every few seconds. In that event, you may want to choose to download the video clip and play it from your local hard drive.

If you have any questions about using streaming video/audio clips on this site or experience any problems, please e-mail me. Be sure to include the specifics of any problems and the URL of the clip.

For a guide to using the Real Player, ZDNet has a tutorial.
