Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. The Encyclopedia of Catholic Theology is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and a receipt is emailed for every payment.
Can I give by check?
Yes. Checks payable to the Encyclopedia of Catholic Theology may be mailed to the address in the footer of this page. Include an email address if you would like a receipt.
Can I change or cancel my giving?
At any time. Every receipt includes a link to your giving portal, where you can update your payment method or cancel; you can also request the link from the donate page.
What does membership include?
Members receive dedicated updates from our editors and complimentary copies of the Catholic Handbooks Series.
Will my name be published anywhere?
No. The Encyclopedia publishes no donor lists or public acknowledgments; every gift is anonymous.
Can I give once instead?
Of course. One-time gifts of any amount are welcome through the same donate page, and a one-time gift of $1,000 sponsors a complete article and its translation.
Can I give stock, or from a donor-advised fund?
Yes. Grants from a donor-advised fund may be mailed to the address in the footer of this page. To give stock, write to us at the contact email below and we will arrange the transfer.
What happens if the Circle raises more than the articles need?
More of the work. Additional funds go to further translations and a faster editorial pace — more articles commissioned, reviewed, and published each year.
