Frequently Asked Questions
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. The Encyclopedia of Catholic Theology is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and a receipt is emailed for every payment.
Can I give by check?
Yes. Checks payable to the Encyclopedia of Catholic Theology may be mailed to the address in the footer of this page. Include an email address if you would like a receipt.
Can I change or cancel my giving?
At any time. Every receipt includes a link to your giving portal, where you can update your payment method or cancel; you can also request the link from the donate page.
What does membership include?
Founders receive dedicated updates from our editors, complimentary copies of the Catholic Handbooks Series, and invitations to be with the authors, priests, and scholars who come to Cape Girardeau to record.
Do I need to live in Southeast Missouri?
The Founder’s Circle is rooted there — its gatherings happen in person, where the work is made. Friends of the project farther afield are welcome too; and the Editor’s Circle was made precisely for you.
Will my name be published anywhere?
No. The Encyclopedia publishes no donor lists or public acknowledgments; every gift is anonymous.
Can I give once instead?
Of course. One-time gifts of any amount are welcome through the same donate page, and a one-time gift of $1,000 sponsors a complete article and its translation.
Can I give stock, or from a donor-advised fund?
Yes. Grants from a donor-advised fund may be mailed to the address in the footer of this page. To give stock, write to us at the contact email below and we will arrange the transfer.
